Emotions Run High

Frustration, Exhaustion, Hope, Defeat, Anger, Commodore, Pain, Anguish, Bliss, Determination, Sadness, Emptiness, Confusion.

These are just a few words that come to mind among those who have been dedicating their time to the Dan Zamlen Search effort. As the weeks get longer and we get farther away from that fateful night when Dan went missing. Morale is down and volunteer support is dwindiling. If we sit back and see all that this volunteer effort has done amazing things. We have been to over 2000 local business with flyers, we have them at bus stations, we have them on college campus’s we have searched miles of area to try and find clues to bring Dan home.

But we can do more. We need to do more. Dan would have done more!

The fact of the matter is the St. Paul Police Department has been doing nothing. They are not being helpful and doing all they can do help us find Dan and bring him home. The police have blown the search group off. They have told us to wait and see what comes up. They are not responding to your tips. They were rude to the victims family and unprofessional. There needs to be pressure put on them and other political leaders to make sure that all is being done to bring Dan home and others like him home. They are done with the search. It is a disgrace to their profession. They have not been helpful in the least. I wouldn’t trust them to find me if I got lost around here.  ( If you are interested in helping address this issue please contact us! )

What do we do about it?? We show them how much we care about Dan. Please come and lets pick eachother help and give a few hours a week and help all do our part to bring Dan home and let people know that we are not giving up and we are not just going to let Dan be another missing person Statisic. He deserves better than that. As the weeks progress if you have any unique and creative ideas in how we can fundrasie and keep the message about Dan out there and in peoples minds, Please contact us.  ~ GOD BLESS

First of all I want to express my deepest concerns for Dan and his Family. I have been praying for them every day. Im confident that with faith we will find Dan. We must not give up, even though it gets harder as time goes by.

I can relate to all the emotions stated by Greg, and also realize that we have a problem in this country when it comes to missing adults.

My wife and I have just gone through the same situation, and our story has over lapped with Dans. Our 21 year old son is a Diver in the Navy and has been stationed in Norfolk, VA for the last year and on March 16th we received a call(from the Navy) in the early morning as I was at work and my wife was getting ready for her job that my son was missing!

What transpired from there was a journey that I would not wish on my worst enemy! For 19 days we went from low to high to low again. Every worst case scenario played out in our minds as we laid sleepless in bed. My mantra was “That no news was good news”. But one can not live his life in a normal manner if that was going to be it. There had to be more, so I would try to keep my faith in God and would pray hard every day that He would help us, because we were getting very little from the authorities.

We became full time investigators and learned much about the system we all live in. Im proud to be an American, but we have so much freedom that as an adult you can disappear very easily, and no one has the right to find you. You better hope that you never lose your mind and cant find your way home, because even the people that care the most about you are deemed helpless.

Our story is a long one and very interesting, and when I tell the short version to someone their mouths drop and suggest that this could be a movie or I should write a book ( Even my therapist)

We found our son on April 1st, and verified it was actually him the next day, alive and hopefully well?

Because of my experience that our family is still dealing with, I feel connected with Dans parents and wish them well in this difficult time. I truly know what they are going through now and want them to know that I will continue to pray for them and Dan every morning before I start my day.

Please stay strong everyone that has helped this family, Dan is relying on you…..

    Sincerly, Don Anderson
